Since I've known driscollliam he's always been drawn to the arts. The visuals. The sounds. The ellicted feelings.

I've read many of his short stories over the years & offered feedback (when asked) over drinks.

And then... I got to go to the @countytheater in Doylestown to watch a @seencarlisi short film he was a part of creating 🎥

I think it took me listening to the "Encanto" soundtrack 5 times through before the entire thing didn't make me bawl in between training lessons (& even still it trips me up sometimes) 😭

It is definitley the most revolutionary Disney movie yet.

In every Disney movie, if there was something "missing" in a main character, they "found" it by the end 👀

Missing a beautiful gown to catch the eye of the prince? Your fairy God mother will bibitty bobitty bestow you one 👗

Missing a prince? He'll come to you 🤴

I remember watching this movie the first time through & thinking "When is Maribel going to get her gift & what will it be?" 💭

A physical gift never presented & (no surprise) that made me BAWL.

I don't know how I found the song "Satisfied" off

I don't know how I found the song "Satisfied" off of the Hamilton soundtrack, but 3 years ago around my sister's wedding I did.

It is a song where a sister / maid of honor proclaims (in her mind) she loves her sister's husband (Alexander Hamiliton).

Maybe wrong timing, but I sang this song ALL THE TIME while preparing my sister's wedding as her maid of honor (to both her & my brother in law) 🤣

Only people who knew my personality would know I wasn't a threat to their marriage & it was just a song that REALLY got me jazzed 💥

It was the only song I knew off the soundtrack!

Fast forward 2 years, mid-pandemic, Disney+ puts the Hamilton play on their platform.

I watched it with goosebumps & fist pumps the entire time (I think I watch it 3 times that first week).

Now I probably know every single word to 75% of the soundtrack within a year's time.

I listened to it so much so, my mom decided bringing me to see Hamilton at the Kimmel Center in Philly would be a perfect Christmas present... and it was.

I cried 3 times (one of those times being after the first song ended, the other when all the amazing actors took a bow).

It was magical ✨

The captains to text posts (like the one above) often ask you to look at your current life & pick apart all the stagnant, uninspiring facets of your every day life in an effort to inspire you to want to make a change 🍂

Although I find this beneficial, I like to focus on what has gone right through working through fear and try to draw in more experiences like it 🧱

So let me ask again,

Had I let the "fear of change" paralyze me, I wouldn't have... (Fill in something you have done that has made all the difference in bettering your everyday life).

The goal is to build up confidence in what you have already done so you can build off of that momentum to do more 💥

You wouldn't have:

🌿 Started going to the gym & feeling that serotonin-inducing confidence after each workout (no matter what your body looks like)
🌿 Quit your job after finding a position that pays better w/ better hours, even though it's more of a challenge
🌿 Made a large financial investment that helped you change your mindset, hobbies to a side hustle, etc.
🌿 Trained your dog to walk with a loose leash by your side so you could enjoy more sunset walks (even though you had to try a new tool / way of training)
🌿 Left a relationship that you were staying in out of obligation, fear, or trauma bonding
🌿 Re-did you room to make it more conducive to a perfect balance of productivity & comfort (I just did this!)

Let's live less scared of change & more scared of staying the same!

You are just beginning, whether you're 25, 48, 65, or 98 👁👅👁

I include people who I can dream with, laugh with, cry with, & grow with.

I want you to have that same luxury. Here's how:

1️⃣ Write a list of your favorite things to do
2️⃣ Then, write a list of everyone in your family / friend group / life / circle.
3️⃣ If any of the people who are in that list of people wouldn't be a fun addition to anything on your list of things that make you happy, why are you so worried about how they see you?

Spend your time doing what you love & you will attract the people who are right for YOU ❤

Worrying about how people see you (especially those not on your "happy things to do with these people" list) is taking away from headspace you could be saving for curating your dream life & attracting the best people to be apart of it 🌿

𝗟𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵: 18 inches

It's been approximately 19 days since she entered the chat, 17 days since I met her in person, & 14 days since I've held her for the first time. This is what I've learned of this tiny, miracle baby I that time:

1️⃣ She is much more "Garges" than Phoebe is - what with the full head of hair right off the hop (just like Aunt Hippie)
2️⃣ She has Brianna's "turtle lip" as I like to call it 🐢
3️⃣ She is the queen of kicking off socks (mostly because her pre-me body doesn't know how to keep them on)
4️⃣ I think she may have EVEN LONGER toes & fingers than her big sister, so she may be just as much (if not more of a water baby 🐠)
5️⃣ The size of her diapers make me squeal
6️⃣ Her middle name was made "Marie" after her Aunt Hippie (fight me, @lysannegarges @ginabarrett004 @daniellefalcone94 )
7️⃣ I survived Hurricane Ida so I could love you unconditionally forever & ever

Is it just me or has this been one of the most trying months of this year?

This month has been hard on me in sneaky ways.

Scary things have happened in my family. But everything turned out fine in the end.

Some of my friends are going through the ringer with back-to-back life-changing scenarios, but they have persisted.

I am feeling very lonely & yet, here I stand.

Life goes through seasons the same way that the Earth does 🌎

When it feels heavy (even if you can't directly pin point where or why), practice grace towards yourself.

You can cry. You can sleep. You can procrastinate.

Sometimes you need to rest in order to recharge in order to face today's / tomorrow's / this months difficulties with perspective.

My brain is always humming (because sometimes that's all the power it can conjure up throughout my long work days), but sometimes it chirps, shakes, ERUPTS with ideas.

When I'm:
🧠 Not working
🧠 Not under pressure
🧠 Not waiting on an alarm to sound

I just for back from a 5 day vacation, a place where I could "shut off business." But doing exactly that, helped "Wake up" all the ideas laying dormant while focusing on "this lesson," or "that visit," or "that call back."

Your creativity is yours & is always able to be explored... under the right conditions (well rested ones) 🙈

Rest opens up your creative airways, so make sure you are getting enough 🌅 It may be the best thing you do for yourself, your business, your children, and/or your dog!

Creativity is resilience, growth-minded thinking, & fun-loving!
